This pattern comes from a section of the man’s cloak in “The Kiss,” probably Klimt’s most famous image. To add to the drama of this runner, I have used stark black matte wool against shimmering, two-level gold and silver silk. The rectilinear shapes playing off of the central swirls add another level of interest to this arresting piece.
